Oil on canvas

Art show Los Angeles

Created in the late 1990s and never displayed publicly, this piece gives visitors an uncanny feeling of being truly alive for the second time in their lives. The work evokes an impression of waves which have resurged and overflowed and are repeating to the rhythm of the four winds of that distant age.

There’s nothing we can do to stop the waves

With the canvas lying flat on the table we can start drawing waves around the curves of the canvas. With the barrel of the pencil in the right place, draw a solid blue rectangle across the canvas. You’ll notice that the top half of the circle is filled in by waves, while the bottom half is empty.

There’s nothing we can do to stop the waves filling in the bottom half. However, we can fill in the top half with text. Just draw a rectangle around the canvas and text it with a solid blue color.
